Celebrating Asian Heritage Month 2024

Asian Heritage month blog post header

Celebrate Asian Heritage Month with us this May! Across Canada, we recognize and honour the countless contributions and the kaleidoscope of diversity that Asian communities have woven into the Canadian tapestry over the past two centuries. From 51 countries, they bring with them the languages, ethnicities, and spiritual traditions that enrich our communities.

At YMCA Calgary, diversity and inclusivity are not just words; they are the heartbeat of our community. During Asian Heritage Month and year-round, we are committed to creating a welcoming and supportive environment for all.

During Asian Heritage Month, we encourage everyone to take the time to learn more about Asian cultures, traditions, and history.

There are many ways to engage in Asian Heritage Month at the YMCA – check out our free events below!
