Our neighbourhood is stronger when we work together.
When neighbours come together, big things happen. Partnering with incredible organizations that share our vision has helped YMCA Calgary better serve Calgarians. From giving 5,000+ Grade 6 students a sense of belonging through free YMCA memberships, to breaking down barriers to mental wellness and delivering programs to youth across 185 schools — partnerships are helping us extend our impact.

Everyone deserves to feel like they belong. At YMCA Calgary, we design experiences where people feel seen, communities feel celebrated, and diversity is embraced every day. From packed youth rooms and empowering all-girls sports leagues to vibrant cultural celebrations and Pride parades — our neighbourhood is one where everyone is welcome, just as they are.

We all have different definitions of fun. Gaming leagues, Aquafit classes or live theatre in the suburbs — there’s something for everyone at YMCA Calgary. Whether you want to get your child outside or carve out some self-care time at the gym, our programs bring people together, spark joy, and build community in every corner of the city.

Good neighbours step in and step up. For over 120 years, YMCA Calgary has been that neighbour. With generous help from our donors, volunteers, and partners, we can fund services and programs that enrich the lives of thousands of Calgarians. Together we’re helping — newcomers learn English, students build confidence and everyone feel happier and healthier.

2024 at-a-glance
2024 was a remarkable year at YMCA Calgary. We saw growth in our volunteer community, increased giving and expanded program participation. From better health outcomes to more active children, YMCA participants experienced improved well-being, leading to happier and healthier lives.
