Many employers offer volunteer grant programs (also called volunteer hour matching) that turn your time into donations. When you volunteer with YMCA Calgary, your employer may provide a financial gift to our organization based on the hours you contribute (often $10–$25 per hour) at no extra cost to you.

How Volunteer Grants

2 - Review Program Details
Each company sets its own requirements, including:
- Minimum hours needed to qualify
- How to submit your volunteer hours
- Deadlines and documentation required
3 - Submit the Grant Request to Your Employer
Follow your employer’s process (online form or HR submission) to request a volunteer grant.
4 - Your Employer Sends a Grant to YMCA Calgary
Once approved, your employer sends the volunteer grant directly to YMCA Calgary.
