What Can You Expect at Homecoming?

Homecoming is more than an annual gathering. It is a chance to reconnect with your camp community and revisit the place that holds so many meaningful memories.

Spend the day enjoying camp activities, reconnecting with old friends, and exploring the camp you know and love. Throughout the day, you'll have opportunities to share camp with your family and friends, discover what's new, and experience the sense of belonging that has brought generations of campers back to Camp Chief Hector YMCA.

Highlights from the Day

Morning Welcome

Join us in the morning for a coffee and a fireside chat, and come for a walk to see our new facilities and the old favourite spots. A light lunch will be served at 12:30.

Hector Lodge Dinner

Enjoy delicious camp meals and the simple joy of gathering around the table together. Great food and great company have always been part of the camp experience.

Coffee House

Enjoy an evening of music, storytelling, laughter, and connection as the camp community comes together to celebrate and reflect on shared memories.

Camp Sleepover

This year, we are excited to offer the option to stay over on Saturday night! Stay at Camp with your loved ones and enjoy a cozy night in one of our yurts. For an additional $25 per person, guests can extend their Homecoming experience and enjoy more time reconnecting with friends, family, and the place that holds so many special memories.

After dinner, join us at Coffee House, take time to relax, reconnect, and enjoy the atmosphere of Hector Lodge before settling in for the night. Breakfast will be provided the following morning.

Accommodation

Overnight guests will stay in one of our yurts at Hector Lodge. Each yurt features bunk beds and a wood-burning stove, creating a simple and comfortable camp experience. Please note that the yurts do not have electricity or running water.
