Careers & Volunteers
YMCA Calgary is actively building healthy communities. Join us in creating a better Calgary.
YMCA Calgary opened its doors in 1902. Since then, we have evolved into a vibrant charitable organization where of thousands children, youth and adults participate in programs, services and facilities that aim to develop a healthy spirit, mind and body and create a sense of belonging.
Our staff and volunteers strive to create a positive impact in the community by developing and delivering health and wellness programs, child care and early education programs, day and overnight camps, leadership and certification programs and community outreach programs (such as Indigenous, youth at risk and new immigrant settlement programs), financial assistance programs and much more.
We serve diverse community needs through the Gray Family Eau Claire YMCA, Melcor YMCA at Crowfoot, Shawnessy YMCA, South Health Campus YMCA, Community YMCA, Saddletowne YMCA, Remington YMCA in Quarry Park, Shane Homes YMCA at Rocky Ridge, Quarry Park Child Development Centre and Camp Chief Hector YMCA. In partnership with the City of Calgary, we will expand our impact by operating a new facility in the Seton community in early 2019. This news Centre of Community will allow us to reach more people through our passionate staff and volunteers.
How will you make an impact? Who will you become at YMCA Calgary?
