What should I expect at Day Camp?

YMCA Camp Riveredge offers outdoor Day Camps in the heart of Calgary. Our site is located at Sandy Beach Park along the Elbow River. Campers spend their days outdoors, exploring the natural world, making new friends and participating in camp activities.

Throughout each day, campers may experience archery, challenge course, low ropes, fire building, field games, campfires, shelter building and more. Activities at YMCA Camp Riveredge encourage campers to belong, grow, thrive and lead in the outdoors. On hot days, campers will take regular shade breaks, play water games and lower energy activities. Offsite adventures will encourage groups to explore the local parks and natural spaces. Groups will interact with others in a natural disconnected environment to make new friends and develop social skills. .
