Leave Your Mark on Camp Chief Hector YMCA

Like the rings of a tree, our camp legacy grows year after year, layered with the memories, friendships, and experiences that have shaped generations. Every camper who has walked these trails, paddled these lakes, or gathered around a campfire has left their mark on Camp Chief Hector YMCA.

Now, you have the opportunity to celebrate your connection and love for camp! Become a Campfire Friend and help create a stunning art installation crafted from tree cookies, each one personalized to represent the stories of our alumni and friends.

Your donation will provide financial support for nearly 1,000 children and youth that require financial assistance to participate in our camp programs each year.

This installation will be more than art. It will be a living testament to the roots we’ve built together and the branches still to grow. With every tree cookie added, we celebrate every camper, every memory, and every generation impacted by camp.

Tree Cookie purchases are eligible for a tax receipt. Funds raised through this initiative support the financial assistance needs of campers to participate in year-round programs at Camp Chief Hector YMCA.

Personalized Tree Cookies

Each tree cookie in the Bowfort Lodge installation will be crafted from fallen trees at Camp Chief Hector YMCA, making every piece truly part of camp. Your name and design will be etched into the wood, creating a unique symbol of your connection to this special place.

Choose from three levels of participation

  • $100 for an 8-10cm tree cookie inscribed with your first name (2-year term)

  • $1,930 for an 18-20cm tree cookie inscribed with your full name or family name and camp inspired image (2-year term)

  • $5,000 for a 30cm tree cookie inscribed with up to 3 names/family name and camp inspired image (4-year term)

Every tree cookie in Bowfort Lodge will be a visible reminder of your support in helping camp thrive for the next 100 years, ensuring generations to come can create their own campfire stories.
