Yoga Adventure Weekend

Come on out to camp for a weekend of yoga and adventure! If you enjoy practicing yoga and want to let your inner camper out to play, this is the experience for you!

This weekend is great for both new and more experienced yogis alike. Classes may include flow, hatha, ashtanga, nidra and restorative practices. Along with multiple yoga sessions throughout the weekend you will have a chance to experience a variety of camp adventures. Choose from horseback riding, higher ground, archery and hiking.

* Please BYO Yoga mat/strap/blanket/etc – limited materials available to borrow

ACTIVITIES REQUIRING SIGN-UP DROP-IN ACTIVITIES
TRAIL RIDE

  • All riders must be able to mount and dismount independently before going on the trail
  • Riders must be confident on a horse and be strong enough to steer the horse
  • Four (4) rides available with staggered start times – 9:30AM | 10AM | 1:30PM | 2PM

 
HIGHER GROUND

  • Team Swing – work together to pull a team-mate high into the air for a swing of a lifetime!
  • High Ropes – could include Dangle-A-Maze/All-Aboard/etc
    • Dangle-A-Maze – work together to help each other climb ‘dangling’ X shaped boards that get progressively smaller and farther apart
    • Team-All-Aboard – climb a post and work with their team to stand up at the same time on the wobbling platform
ARCHERY

  • use bows and arrows – aim for the bull’s eye
  • throw a spear farther using an Atlatl

 
CANOEING

  • Paddle around on Chilver Lake in our beautiful forest & mountain surroundings

 
Hike – EXPLORE SITE

  • A 60-90 minute guided walk using our onsite trail system to navigate through some of the site’s natural highlights that could include forest, drumlins, ponds and lakes (wear trail shoes or runners)

 
PREDATOR VS PREY

  • An All-Camp game that reflects local food webs and the balance of eco-systems while participating in a large ‘hide-&-go-seek’ activity that is fun for ALL ages (also known as Animal Game)
ACCOMMODATION OPTIONS:
Clusters
Cozy indoor spaces with three dorm-rooms, a central common space and common gender-separated showers/toilets
Each room sleeps 14 in 7 bunk beds
Leadership Cabins
Small, semi-private rooms, universal showers/toilets
Each room sleeps 4-6 in 2-3 bunk beds
Tipi*
Large, canvas tipis with a fire pit for light and warmth, close to wash-stands – sharing is encouraged
Each tipi sleeps 10 in 5 bunk beds
Yurt*
Large, canvas, domed-roof structure with a wood-burning stove and skylight, close to wash-stands – sharing is encouraged
Sleeps 10 in 5 bunk beds
* Tipi and yurt-dwellers will be assigned specific indoor-shower/toilet facilities
