Our Fitness Leadership courses take you through all the theoretical and practical information needed to become a certified YMCA Fitness Leader, including anatomy, physiology, movement principles and exercise design.
FITNESS LEADERSHIP COURSE
|Personal Training – Course: 40 HRSDevelop the knowledge and skills to work one-on-one with clients to create tailored exercise programs.
||Group Strength- Course: 35 HRSGain the knowledge and experience needed to effectively instruct classes such as bootcamp and cross training.||Cardio – Course: 35 HRSLearn to instruct choreography classes such as Hi-Lo or Step, through a mix of classroom & studio time.|
|Aquatic Fitness- Course: 35 HRSLearn water and movement principles for teaching vertical aquatic fitness classes in both deep & shallow water.||Cycle- Course: 35 HRSGain the skills needed to lead group cycle classes, monitor participant intensity and help build their cardiovascular endurance.||Yoga – Course: 48 HRSLearn the principles of instructing Hatha yoga classes, with a focus on intro level program delivery.|
