Camp Chief Hector YMCA Donations
Located just an hour outside of Calgary in Bow Valley Wildlands Provincial Park, Camp Chief Hector YMCA provides a rich ecosystem for children and youth to learn and grow through nature. Our positive counsellors and mentors lead through the YMCA’s values of caring, honesty, respect, and responsibility and help foster independence and individual growth through group development and challenge. This fun outdoor camp creates positive life experiences, an appreciation for the environment, and life-long friendships.
Help give every child and youth a chance to learn, grow and experience camp through our 1270 campaign.
Our Strong Kids Campaign allows children and youth – whose families don’t have the financial means – to attend a Camp experience. Our goal is to send 1270 kids to Summer Camp and Outdoor Schools in 2016.
At YMCA Calgary, we believe that all kids deserve the chance to experience the joy and wonder of camp.
For as little as $20 a month, or $240 per year, you can help us send one more kid to camp this year, and help give one more kid a chance to belong, grow, thrive and lead!
$250 gives a student the chance to gain an understanding of ecological principles and a personal connection with nature at one of our Outdoor Schools programs.
$500 gives a nine-year-old an overnight camping experience: five nights sleeping in a tipi, meeting new friends, canoeing, horseback riding, climbing, hiking, arts & crafts and more!
$900 gives a youth the opportunity to build on their leadership skills while on a five-day backpacking trip in the Rocky Mountains.
