The Saddletowne YMCA was thrilled to open our pool, multipurpose rooms and gymnasium to the amazing students, staff and parent volunteers of Crossing Park and Guy Weadick Elementary schools this year. We can’t wait to see them again in 2014, and look forward to meeting the other schools that will be visiting us in the late winter and spring!
If you are interested in learning more about the swimming lessons and other programs we are offering our valued school neighbors please give me a call at 403-537-2710 or e-mail me at firstname.lastname@example.org.

If you’ve attended any of our recent Family Events or visited our facility on Thursdays you may have met our fantastic team of practicum students from the University of Calgary’s Nursing department. They were very eager to share their knowledge and expertise with our Language Instruction (LINC) students, preschoolers, youths and families, and established numerous relationships with members and visitor. Unfortunately last week was the conclusion of their placement with us; we have appreciated their enthusiasm, professionalism and positivity and wish them great success as they continue their studies.
On behalf of all the staff and volunteers at the Saddletowne YMCA, thank you U of C Nursing Students! Please visit!

What is an extravaganza you ask? Merriam-Webster defines an extravaganza as “a very large and exciting show or event.” We couldn’t think of a better word to describe our upcoming Fall Family event!
Celebrate the changing of the seasons at the YMCA Saddletowne Saturday, October 5th from 3:00-5:00 PM. Bring the whole family to participate in a fitness obstacle course, a preschool drop-in gym, arts and crafts, a water safety relay race, face painting and more!
This exciting event is free for members; non-members pay only $20 per family.
We’ll see you then!
Whether you’re looking for swimming lessons for your preschooler, a floor hockey class for your preteen or a yoga class for yourself, there are plenty of great opportunities to be active and healthy this Fall season at the YMCA Saddletowne.
I am excited to start an Aqua bootcamp on Tuesdays from 9:15-10:15 (#84191) and a Resistance Training bootcamp on Fridays from 5:30-6:30 (#85277); join me and we can have a coffee after our first class together!
