Small Group Training kicks off in true Summer style

Small Group Training demo day

If you haven’t heard about the new flexible and affordable option for group exercise available exclusively at the Eau Claire Y then get yourself down to the branch and ask somebody! (or call, email, read the blog, newsletter, follow us on Twitter, Facebook, Pintrest : ).

To launch Small Group Training, Strength & Conditioning Director, Geoff Starling, and superstar Personal Trainer, Kristaps Petrovs, took to the sunshine on Sunday and led 3 groups of dedicated members through a workout typical of what you would see during class. After a full body warm up they completed:

4 Rounds
20 Wall balls
20 Medball Pushups
20 Kettlebell Swings
20 Front Squats

It was a colourful way to bring attention to this fabulous new product and was only made the more challenging by the smells of Taste of Calgary wafting in from the plaza!

What is Small Group Training?

This brand new way to get your heart rate pumping in a social and supportive environment could be just the opportunity missing from your current exercise routine. There are multiple times available across the week and every session is run by one of our expert personal trainers. Each workout will be unique, engaging and scalable to the individual, including injury management. To access the classes simply purchase a 1, 5 or 10 visit Small Group Training Flex Pass through member services then turn up to one of the advertised times. It’s no more complicated than that. If you have any questions or concerns, turn up a few minutes early and talk to the trainer. But be quick, classes are starting to pick up already so make sure you’re on time to secure your spot as each session is limited to 8 people.
