Eat more cinnamon (without the bun ).How to reduce blood sugar level?

When you are exercising you are burning calories because your muscle cells needs more fuel. The body uses two sources of fuel, sugar and free fatty acids =fat. The sugar comes from the blood, the liver and the muscles as glycogen. During the first 15 minutes of exercise, most of the sugar for fuel comes from either the blood stream or the muscle glycogen. After 30 minutes of exercise, the body begins to get more of its energy from the free fatty acids. As a result, exercise can reduce sugar levels and glycogen stores.

Also interesting tip:

According to Dr. Leigh Broadhurst (USDA) cinnamon’s active ingredient called MHCP helps to mimic the function of insulin thereby helping to increase glucose uptake in the cell. This in turn leads to not only reduced blood sugar, but also triglycerides, total cholesterol and LDL (bad Cholesterol). So eat more cinnamon but unfortunatley does not include cinnamon buns …..
