Winter doldrums setting in? Looking for a new activity to spice things up? Missed the boat on programs starting in January? Short and sweet sessions are 5-6 weeks in length and are a great way to try something new with less financial and time commitment compared to a full-length session. They are perfect for people who would like to experience a new kind of class for the first time, or who for various reasons aren’t able to commit to longer sessions.

Capoeira is a Brazilian mixed martial art developed 500 years ago by the slaves of Brazil who were forced to disguise their art form by incorporating elements of dance and acrobatics. Our classes are for people of all ages and abilities and involve cardiovascular and muscular components as well as various forms of Brazilian music. A practice of martial arts mixed with dance, core and muscle building.

Hap Ki Do is a Korean Martial Art roughly translated as the Art of Coordinating Energy. The focus of Hap Ki Do is on self-defense through redirection of opponents’ energy to overcome adversity or violence. Participants will learn joint locks, pressure points, throws, strikes, rolls and mental concepts among other techniques.
