Jill Jamieson | General Manager
Jill has been working with, leading and learning from children, youth and the outdoors for over 20 years. She lives on site with her husband and their two children. Jill brings her camping, outdoor education, youth work experience and formal education in Outdoor Pursuits, Education and Counselling to her role. She is also an instructor with the Ecotourism and Outdoor Leadership program at Mount Royal University. |

Doug Saul | Summer Camp Director
Active in camping for over 17 years, Doug has been going to camp since he was six years old. Along with his wife and two young children, Jed and Maggie, Doug lives at the Camp Chief Hector YMCA. He is also a teacher and a youth worker who enjoys connecting with campers, families and staff. Doug is a member of the Alberta Camping Association, and is active in the hiking, horseback riding and canoeing associations that provide leadership for these activities in Canada. |

Jana Reed | Assistant Summer Camp Director
Through the Camp Chief Hector YMCA, Jana has spent many seasons exploring and adventuring with youth and training camp staff in the Bow Valley, Kananaskis Country, Banff National Park, and Yaha Tinda. Before that, she was a camper here and at other residential camps in Alberta. Jana has a BSc in Kinesiology and enjoys exploring on foot, horse, and by canoe. |

Alyson Topping | Summer Camp Program Director
Aly has been working in the Alberta camping community for 10 years in Kananaskis Country and in the Bow Valley. She has enjoyed a variety of positions in working with outdoor school programs, community user groups and summer camps. Aly graduated in 2003 with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Ecotourism and Outdoor Leadership. |

Nikki Thomson | Outdoor Schools Manager
Nikki has been active in YMCA camping for over 10 years, and was a camper herself for many years before that. She worked for many springs and summers as a counsellor and leadership facilitator in Ontario, before moving west to the Camp Chief Hector YMCA in 2006. |

Murray Anderson | Outdoor Programs Manager
Murray, originally from Glasgow Scotland, has been working in various roles at Camp Chief Hector YMCA since 2000. As the Outdoor Programs Manager Murray loves working in the outdoors with diverse groups of youth, families and adults. He has a background in Sociology, Outdoor Education and Counseling. When not at work Murray loves running, music and supporting the mighty Partick Thistle Football Club.

Ben Reed | Horse Director
Born and raised in BC, Ben is delighted to be living in Canada's land of the horse! He holds a Bachelor of Arts degree from Simon Fraser University where he majored in Geography. Working with youth at camp encouraged Ben to pursue a second degree in Education. Though not from a "horsey" family, Ben grew up with horses, participating in 4H and trail riding with his dad. He started working at the Camp Chief Hector YMCA in 2000 and has yet to find a more fitting job! |

Earl Emberton | Asset Manager
Earl joined the Camp Chief Hector YMCA as the Asset Manager in 2002. He works hard to manage capitol expenditures, water treatment plant operations, and all of the maintenance required for our one thousand acre site. Earl recently completed his first Ironman Canada Triathlon in Penticton, BC! |

Blaine Terrick | Asset Staff
Originally from Winnipeg, Blaine traveled west in 2002 and joined the Camp Chief Hector YMCA asset team shortly after that. Blaine has an extensive background in carpentry and brings a tremendous amount of maintenance experience to his role in the asset department. Blaine is an avid snowboarder and disc golfer. |

Marc Pellowe | Asset Staff
Originally from Montréal, Marc traveled west in 2000 and has spent most of that time working for non-profit camping organizations. Marc brings a lot of previous experience to his role in the asset department including his diploma in small engine repair. Marc is an avid hockey enthusiast and proudly supports the Montréal Canadiens. |

Holly Raaphorst | Food Services Director
Holly was introduced to the Camp Chief Hector YMCA in 1993 working as Horse Staff while finishing her degree in Environmental Biology. After spending many years traveling, learning and cooking in the health food industry, she returned to camp in 2003 to join the Food Services team. Holly loves hiking, horseback riding in the mountains and of course, cooking! |

Samantha Nelson-Kennedy |
Administrative Services Director
Samantha came to YMCA Calgary over 16 years ago, joining the camping branch in 1997 where she oversees all aspects of administration for the various program areas. Sam also meets with families who require financial assistance and helps with the Strong Kids Campaign each year. Based in our City Office
, Sam spends one day each week out at camp. She is an avid quilter who enjoys playing with fabrics and colours to create beautiful quilts. |

Jean Gardner | Office Administrator
For six years, Jean has worked in the Camp Chief Hector YMCA City Office providing front line information to camper families and registering participants in summer camp and outdoor programs. She has a background in marketing and communications and enjoys the variety and fast pace of the camp registration office. Jean's favourite pastimes are gardening, scrapbooking and hiking in the mountains. |

Shannyn Clancy | Office Administrator
Shannyn has been working for YMCA Calgary as the Kids Club Program Administrator and has recently joined the Camp Chief Hector YMCA as an Office Administrator. Shannyn's biggest passion is running and training for marathons and she is planning to run the Boston Marathon for the second time this spring. When she is not running, Shannyn is playing sports, camping or reading a good book. |

Calder Cheverie | Ecological Intern Advisor
Calder began attending family camp at the age of two at YMCA Wanakita in Ontario. Having spent his childhood summers in the woods, growing up within the Y community, he has spent the last seven years dedicating his efforts towards educating and counselling children, guiding trips and training staff, as well as directing and developing summer programs. Having graduated from Trent University with an honours degree in International Development Studies, his interest in environmental politics and early-childhood development have lead him here.
