The Eau Claire YMCA is located downtown in the heart of
Calgary’s Eau Claire Market district. The Eau Claire YMCA is a member-based facility with strong links to families, schools, agencies and businesses in the community. It offers a wide variety of health, fitness and recreation opportunities for people of all ages and abilities, as well as day camps, youth leadership programs, teen nights and family activities.
Open in 1988, the Eau Claire YMCA is 110,000 square feet, and features a 25-metre swimming pool, variable depth training pool, gymnasium, multi-purpose rooms, meeting rooms, strength and conditioning area, indoor running track, squash, handball and racquetball courts and full amenity locker rooms. Wheelchair accessible, the Eau Claire YMCA also features a full service café, massage therapy, licensed child care and personal fitness services.
Members and participants can take advantage of the Eau Claire YMCA’s babysitting service for up to two-and-a-half hours while they are using the facility. Visit the Childcare page for more information.

Plus memberships include access to the Plus locker room with a whirlpool and steam room, individual exercise area, overnight tote box, TV lounge with telephones and newspapers, personal care products, towel service and oversized day-use lockers. Plus locker rooms are staffed at all times for extra security. Laundry service for workout wear is available for Men’s Plus members. With an
Eau Claire Plus membership, you receive city-wide access to General locker rooms with towel service and Plus locker room access at the Crowfoot and Shawnessy YMCAs.

Children under eight must be accompanied by an adult in the locker rooms (both General and Plus) and supervise at all times while in the facility. Youth ages 12 to 17 must have an orientation prior to using the fitness centre. At the Eau Claire YMCA, youth 12 to 17 cannot use the fitness equipment in the Plus lock rooms and must use the General locker rooms during prime-time hours (towel service is included). Children under 12 years are not allowed in program areas at the Eau Claire YMCA during prime-time hours: Monday-Friday 11:30 - 1:30 p.m., 4:30 -6:00 p.m. and Friday 11:30-1:30 p.m.
