YMCA Calgary's School Support program is a unique partnership with Calgary public and Catholic elementary schools. It provides students in Grades 4 to 6 with literacy support, an opportunity to take part in recreational programs and the chance to enhance their academic and social skills in a friendly, supportive environment.

Activities may include homework support, reading, cooking, art, drama, games, letter writing, storytelling, journal writing, science, field trips and team-building initiatives.

This program is currently offered at 14 elementary schools in Calgary and operates every school day between September and June. There is no charge to participate.
