YMCA Calgary members and participants can leave their children in our Babysitting service for up to two and a half hours while they are using the facility. Our caregivers use age-appropriate activities and positive guidance techniques for children ages six weeks to ten years old. Babysitting appointment cancellations must be received at least two hours in advance or a $5 per child cancellation fee will be charged. "No-shows" will be charged $5 or for the amount of time booked, whichever is the greater amount.

For added convenience, members and participants can purchase babysitting punch cards - available at Member Services - for $30.

Block Booking

Members and participants can book a series of babysitting appointments. This is called block booking. The fees for block booking are due at the time of registration and are subject to a 25% cancellation fee. Refunds will be pro-rated from the time of cancellation.

Maximum Booking Period

YMCA Calgary members and participants can leave their children in our Babysitting service for up to two and a half hours while they are using the facility.  This is a change from our previous maximum of two hour bookings.
