Research shows the activities children take part in after-school—including clubs, activities and programs—have a significant impact on their successful development. YMCA has developed programs to help children be involved in healthy, positive activities during critical after-school hours.
YMCA Kids Club is an after-school recreation and leadership program for children in Grades 1 to 6. Together with supportive and caring staff, children grow, thrive, lead and belong in a safe environment. While activities are themed, they also align with the children's interests and encourage them to explore their own abilities and skills. This leads to inquisitive and independent thinkers, and brings out each child's leadership potential. YMCA Kids Club is a place where teamwork flourishes and friendships are secured.
