In 2005, YMCA Calgary embarked on its most ambitious fundraising campaign to date: The Growing Strong Together Community Campaign. The Goal: To raise $10 million in support of YMCA Calgary’s development plan.

Thanks to the efforts of many campaign volunteers and the generosity of donors, the $10-million mark was met, then exceeded in the spring of 2007. Money raised during the Growing Strong Together Community Campaign is already at work, ensuring YMCA Calgary can effectively serve the community for years to come.

Some examples of YMCA capital projects include:

• Saddletowne YMCA in the Genesis Centre for Community Wellness in NE Calgary.
• YMCA in the new Alberta Health Services South Health Campus in SE Calgary.
