YMCA Camp Riveredge is a unique outdoor summer day camp in the heart of Calgary. Riveredge campers, ages six to 15 spend their days learning and exploring their natural surroundings, trying new things, meeting friends and creating positive, lasting memories.

Located at Sandy Beach along the Elbow River, this unique outdoor day camp experience includes a low ropes/challenge course, bouldering wall, tubing on the river, canoeing and weekly guest speakers. Parents can drop children directly at the camp site or kids can be bussed from one of our 4 YMCA Calgary locations

Please join us in welcoming Rachel Yellowega and Kari Enns as the Camp Riveredge Director and Assistant Director for 2013!

Rachel, or Rain as some of you know her from years past, has been a counselor with Camp Riveredge for the past two seasons. She is currently enrolled in the Bachelor of Arts program at Mount Royal University with the intent to transfer to Education at UofC in 2013. In addition to her involvement with Riveredge, Rachel works with Summit Kids, a before and after school care program for children where she has played an integral role in the lives of many children by providing leadership, learning opportunities, activities and FUN! We are so excited to see Rachel take on this new role as Camp Director at Riveredge and look forward to a great summer under her leadership.

Kari, or Chokecherry, joins Camp Riveredge for her first time this year. Kari brings a number of experiences working with children and youth to her new role as Assistant Camp Director at Riveredge including program volunteer with Wirraway Youth Homestead in Australia as well as counselor and Interim Director for a number of years at Camp Valaqua in Water Valley AB. Kari is very involved with her church having been a youth worker and Peace Program coordinator and is currently acting as their Interim Pastor. We are thrilled to have this newlywed's energy and experience at Riveredge this year.
