Congratulations to John Van Heyst for coming 1st place in his age group in the Olympic distance triathlon at the 2012 Edmonton ITU Triathlon on July 8th. His time of 2 hours 20 minutes and 20 seconds means he has qualified for Worlds in Auckland NZ! John has been a member of the YMCA for 9 years and has been part of the Shawnessy triathlon training group for 8 of those 9 years. Way to go John!
